The next generation of proton head & neck immobilization is here. While the BoS system has been a standard for head & neck immobilization over the last 16 years, the new Pronumbra offers stunning improvements.
Designed with physicists and therapists in mind, the Pronumbra system’s improved design meets the unique requirements of proton therapy immobilization and beam transmission. Pronumbra features a conformal design that ensures optimized proton beam penumbra and maximizes treatment angles to achieve the best possible outcomes.

- Precise and smooth cushion shaping can be achieved utilizing the innovative Helping Hands device.
- Three headrest options enhance patient positioning and allow for repeatable and stable indexing of the cushion.
- Pronumbra thermoplastic line features a matched tapered transition, which creates material homogeneity between the device and mask frame.
- Clearly visible docking locations have been added to the solution and utilize Integrated Shim technology for precise control.
- Shoulder adapters provide three options for mask attachment to accommodate different patient sizes.
- The device features the InfinityEdge profile to accommodate additional accessories.
The Pronumbra portfolio starts with a 130 cm kVue Insert. In addition, each package contains three neck supports, Helping Hands Cushion Manager, Shoulder Adapters, InfinityLock Hand Grips, and a Locking Locating Bar.
Thermoplastic mask configurations include 3.2mm Fibreplast options for 'Head Only' and 'Head & Shoulders,' available in both standard and micro perforation patterns.
Future additions to the portfolio include a 160 cm kVue insert, 160 cm overlay, and 160 cm MRI overlay. Additional lengths are under evaluation with OEM partners to meet system requirements.

Locking Locating Bar
Locating bars generally have two pins for indexing immobilization devices and accessories to CT overlays and treatment couch tops. Due to the different styles of indexing available, we offer an assortment of products for compatibility with Varian, Calypso, Elekta, BrainLAB, Tomotherapy and MR.
