Features
- MR Safety Pads offer a simple and efficient way to reduce the risk of patient burns during MRI procedures. They avoid points of contact between body parts, patient and gantry or cables/wires. 1 cm (0.4 in) thick.
- BabyFix creates ideal conditions for a safe and careful examination procedure for newborn babies in the MRI scanner.
- ProBelt is the first completely hook-and-loop-free belt system and allows a hygienic fixation of patients. The ProBelt system is compatible with the tables of all equipment manufacturers using various rail adapters.
- MULTIPAD family of products enables optimum patient positioning when it comes to examinations using head and extremity coils.
- PearlFit positioning aids can be used for stable but yet comfortable patient positioning inside and outside the field of view during all radiological procedures.
- Pearltec Accessories include sanitary covers and single-use belt systems for flexible patient positioning among others.

“We operate 10 diagnostic CT scanners, with 6 scanners running 24/7. These 24/7 scanners are used for a wide range of exams including trauma, emergent imaging, and interventions. Prior to using gantry covers, we experienced occasional fluid infiltration into the gantry, particularly contract agent leads that crept past the mylar window. When this occurred, a mylar window replacement alone required about 2 hours of downtime. In more severe cases, where fluids reached the detectors, cleaning and recalibration could take up to 8 hours. These incidents not only disrupted workflow but also posed a risk to the longevity of the equipment. The most common fluids encountered were IV contrast and bodily fluids – particularly in trauma and critical care scenarios. We began using Pearltec Gantry Covers roughly three months ago on our high-use CT units. Since implementation, we’ve had zero downtime related to liquid contamination- a 100% success rate. The cover have provided a consistent barrier, protecting the gantry from all types of fluid exposure. If contract or any other fluid gets onto the Gantry Cover, we simply wipe it off. This process is significantly easier than before and eliminates the need for time-consuming internal cleaning or preventative maintenance. The use of reusable gantry covers has also allowed us to discontinue disposable plastic covers, aligning with our sustainability goals and reducing waste management.” VU NGUYEN, R.T.(R)(CT)(ARRT), CT CLINICAL PROGRAM MANAGER, CEDAR SINAI, LOS ANGELES |

“Since implementing the MULTIPAD system to restrain the subject’s head for our neuroimaging studies, we have experienced a dramatic decrease in repeat scans and overall improvement in the quality assurance metrics used to evaluate our imaging data. Furthermore, subjects have reported that they were more comfortable in the scanner. As a result, we have implemented the MULTIPAD Slim as part of every protocol being conducted in the imaging center to maximize the quality and comfort.”
