Head & Neck Radiotherapy
Improved Integrated Shim System
The Integrated Shim System, backed by over a decade of clinical use, has been reengineered to improve head and neck positioning during SRS, photo and proton treatment. The new knurled design to the shim pin head provides greater control during adjustments, offering clearer feedback and mitigating accidental changes during handling or storage. Additionally, the updated, more compact shim design facilitates easier treatment planning with reduce material interference. This advancement continues to empower clinicians by enhancing precision and efficiency in their work.
Integrated Shim is available with Encompass SRS, Portrait Type-S, and Pronumbra thermoplastic masks.
Adaptive Radiotherapy
Patient Handling with the Symphony System
Adaptive radiotherapy (ART) is a highly precise cancer treatment that adjusts to natural changes in the body. Tumors can shrink or shift during the course of treatment, and internal organs often move slightly from day to day. Adaptive Radiotherapy updates the delivery of radiation right before each fraction, tracking the exact size and shape of the tumor in real time to ensure the radiation beam targets the tumor accurately while protecting surrounding healthy tissue.
Clinics in Europe are advancing adaptive radiotherapy workflows—delivering offline MRI-guided adaptive radiotherapy with innovative patient transfer solutions like Symphony transfer system and Alta AirShuttle. By enabling patients to remain in the treatment position while moving between MRI and linear accelerator systems, these solutions support precise tumor targeting, adaptive treatment planning, and the integration of functional imaging to assess early response. This approach connects high-quality diagnostic imaging with radiotherapy delivery—giving clinical teams greater visibility, confidence, and efficiency in daily practice.
VMAT for TBI
Patient Handling with the Symphony System
The Alta AirShuttle Multipurpose Device is revolutionizing the workflow for VMAT-TBI treatments by offering efficiency and adaptability. Designed to reduce setup times, Alta enables seamless transitions between treatment areas—head and neck, thorax, and pelvis—while allowing for precise, reproducible positioning. The versatile, All in One device design supports a wide range of configurations, streamlining clinical workflows and enhancing patient throughput. Integrated with the AirShuttle Patient Transfer System, this innovative device allows clinics to achieve consistent, high-quality care with confidence.
