Functional & Low-Dose Radiation Therapy and the Dexalign Hand Positioner 

Low-dose radiotherapy (LDRT) offers a science-backed approach to managing chronic joint pain by targeting inflammation at its source. Unlike the high-energy radiation used in traditional cancer treatments, LDRT employs significantly lower doses to aid patients suffering from chronic conditions such as arthritis, bursitis, and plantar fasciitis.

To support this innovative treatment, we'll debut the newly released Dexalign Hand Positioner. This purpose-built solution revolutionizes how clinics position patients' hands during simulation and treatment. Its user-friendly design ensures consistent, customizable hand indexing. By upgrading from improvised methods to this dedicated and streamlined tool, clinics can optimize workflow efficiency through rapid, intuitive setup, improved treatment accuracy, and elevate the standard of patient care. 

A MultiFix 2 and Extremity Riser, currently in development, will offer highly versatile solutions that can be used independently or combined for setups across various body sites, including hands, elbows, shoulders, knees, and feet or ankles.

 

Advanced Patient Transfer: Symphony and AirDrive Technology

Pushing the Boundaries of Adaptive Radiotherapy with Alta AirShuttle
Adaptive radiotherapy (ART) is a highly precise cancer treatment that adjusts to natural changes in the body. Tumors can shrink or shift during the course of treatment, and internal organs often move slightly from day to day. Adaptive Radiotherapy updates the delivery of radiation right before each fraction, tracking the exact size and shape of the tumor in real time to ensure the radiation beam targets the tumor accurately while protecting surrounding healthy tissue.

Clinics in Europe are advancing adaptive radiotherapy workflows—delivering offline MRI-guided adaptive radiotherapy with innovative patient transfer solutions like Symphony transfer system and Alta AirShuttle. By enabling patients to remain in the treatment position while moving between MRI and linear accelerator systems, these solutions support precise tumor targeting, adaptive treatment planning, and the integration of functional imaging to
assess early response. This approach connects high-quality diagnostic imaging with radiotherapy delivery—giving clinical teams greater visibility, confidence, and efficiency in daily practice.

MR Stretcher with new AirDrive Technology 
We are proud to showcase our upcoming MR Stretcher with AirDrive Technology. This system delivers all the power of larger AirDrives in a compact, manageable package. It reliably powers Airshuttles through treatments, ensuring patients are moved safely and comfortably.

Designed for high capacity and excellent patient accommodation, the system provides three flexible air-source control options, including a remote hand controller and foot operation. This allows clinicians to maintain precise control during patient handling, reducing physical strain on staff and ensuring a smooth, reassuring experience for the patient.

Curvaform Head Support for Kyphotic Patients

Positioning kyphotic patients for head and neck radiotherapy requires specialized care. We developed Curvaform, a dedicated head support designed specifically for stability, comfort, and reproducible setup for patients with spinal curvature. This solution enhances workflow efficiency, improves patient comfort, and integrates seamlessly with leading systems like Type-S, Portrait, and Encompass.

Alta Multipurpose Device Now Compatible with HexaPOD evo RT System

Introducing the Alta Multipurpose Device, an all-in-one platform engineered for compatibility with the Elekta HexaPOD evo RT robotic positioning system. Alta is optimized to ensure highly precise, stable, and reproducible patient positioning across a wide range of procedures, including SRS, SBRT, and radiotherapy for intracranial head and neck, thoracic, abdominal, and pelvic treatments.

For Elekta HexaPOD users, Alta delivers a versatile immobilization solution designed to maximize clinical performance. It enables the integration of CQ Medical positioning devices while maintaining clear access to the Elekta reference frame required for attachment to the iBEAM® couchtop.
