"Our conventional stirrups attach to the rails of the Symphony transfer device which allows us to insert applicators on the transfer device. Once insertion is complete, we can remove the stirrups and transfer [the patient] using the hover capabilities of the Symphony and move her into MR. She’s then imaged with very little perturbation [of the applicator].” “One of the biggest benefits is that the transport only requires two staff to safely transfer [the patient] from the OR into the MR suite, where before we had a little army of six people moving patients back and forth. That immediate reduction in resources has had Multipurpose effects in being able to reduce overtime and delays in our brachytherapy program."
